Crucible Cider


We've returned from a fantastic trip in the Basque region of Spain and up the west coast of France, checking out cideries. Apart from great food, great oysters and great cheeses, we picked up some very interesting traditional regional approaches to making cider, some of which is now reflected in our range of vintage ciders, with the inclusion of our Demi-sec Crucible Cider.

Note: We were very proud to have been awarded a Bronze medal in the National Australian Cider Awards for our 2013 Cider, followed by a Silver medal for the 2014 Crucible in the traditional bottle fermented category against some pretty stiff competition. 

Our 2015 Crucible Cider was awarded a Silver medal in October 2016 and we received another Silver medal in the recent 2018 Awards.

 Note: At the Cellar door only, we'll be offering tasting of a batch of Black Cider - think a stout style for cider - which went down very well at our last Season Opening.

Berry Gin


Our unique Berry Gins – made from berries hand picked at Pennyroyal Raspberry Farm & Cidery and steeped in pure gin from McHenry’s Distillery (the most southern distillery in the world) in Tasmania. To be savoured chilled, straight as an aperitif over ice, or spritzed with a dash of cold soda water.

  • Raspberry gin – a shot of true raspberry flavour.

  • Brambleberry gin - like Campari on steroids, if you like the Italian style, you’ll love this!

  • Boysenberry Gin – beautiful deep blackberry flavours, just like the real berry.

  • Marionberry Gin – unctuous layers of rich blackberry, very smooth.

  • Jostaberry Gin – completely different! The blackcurrant and gooseberry give a savoury, sweet and sour hit. Try this with some finely chopped kaffir lime leaves and a slice of cucumber.

Event News

Next April, we will be holding a Cider Master Class at the farm. Join Mike Juleff and Max Allen - cider aficionado and food and wine writer for the Australian - for a day, covering cider from orchard to cellar, including lunch. Taste, learn and enjoy ciders. A veritable "how to do it by someone who's done it, and got away with it!"
